There is really no place that can be considered affordable in the Bay Area, especially in light of last year’s crazy price increases of 15.9%. However, some areas are more affordable than others and also perform well on schools. Many of these are also relatively low crime.
1. Ardenwood, Fremont
Ardenwood is at the very northern end of Fremont and a great combination of affordable home prices, high quality schools and accessibility to the major job centers of South Bay and San Francisco via road and BART.
